I’m Rachel Saffer, LCSW-S and I’m really glad you are here. Working with kids and teens is not just my profession it is the part of my life that feels the most meaningful. Young people carry so many unspoken feelings, and my job is to give them a space where everything they are feeling is valid, welcomed, and safe to explore.
I support children and adolescents ages 4–18 who are dealing with grief, anxiety, depression, social struggles, or just feeling overwhelmed by big emotions. Instead of pushing them to sit still and “talk about it,” I meet them where they naturally express themselves through play, creativity, imagination, movement, and gentle curiosity.
In my sessions, kids get to build worlds in the sand, create art that reflects their emotions, move their bodies through yoga and mindfulness, and learn skills that help them understand and manage what’s happening inside. I also work closely with parents so families feel supported every step of the way.

My Approach
Every child is different, so no two therapy sessions look the same. Some kids need sensory grounding, others need creative expression, and some simply need a quiet space where someone notices them. I focus on helping children understand their emotions without judgment, pressure, or shame so they can grow into resilient, confident versions of themselves.
